Shivani Taneja

Shivani is a Research Fellow in the School of Economics at University of Surrey and Surrey Energy Economics Centre and is involved in investigating the impacts of Information and Communication Technologies on energy demand in a range of countries and sectors. She was working as a Research Associate at the University of Manchester in Environmental Economics and analysed corporate behaviour and attitudes on energy use to identify key influencing factors that could lead to energy reduction in the food sector.

Shivani holds a PhD in Economics from University of Essex and her research area was applied economics. Her first paper explored the fertility outcomes of women in Britain using count data models and received the Best Journal Publication Award at an International Conference in San Francisco, USA. Her research interests are in applied economics, microeconomics, applied econometrics, energy economics, environmental economics and labour economics.
