Accelerated diffusion of smart meters
The UK has an ambitious target to fit all households with smart meters by 2020 with the aims of reducing energy demand and enabling flexibility. This project is investigating the drivers and obstacles to smart meter roll out. It will comparing the UK rollout to that in other countries through a comparative case study with Germany and a meta-analysis of across at least ten countries of smart meter diffusion.
