Gerardo A. Torres Contreras is a Research Fellow in Energy Justice and Transitions at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex. His research looks at the politics of land tenure, livelihood strategies and socio-technical imaginaries resulting from climate mitigation technologies in Latin America. More recently, his research centres around energy justice, focusing on double energy vulnerability and issues of inclusion in the energy sector in the United Kingdom. He obtained the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Development Studies at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, UK.
