Jake Barnes is a Researcher in the energy group at the Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford.
Jake joined CREDS in June 2022 to synthesise and advance understanding and practice of net-zero governance in the UK; what it entails, why it is important and how it might be achieved.
Jake’s research interests include questions of participation and governance in energy system transformations. He has worked with local governments, community groups and social enterprises to reflect, learn and pursue societal transformations. His research is problem-orientated, transdisciplinary and policy-engaged.
