Senthooran Balasubramaniam

Senthooran Balasubramaniam is a Research Fellow with the Centre for Advanced Low Carbon Propulsion Systems (C-ALPS) in Coventry University, where he is responsible for the power system research area. His research is focused on electrical power conversion and power systems, including energy storage, EV integration, power electronics, grid integration of renewable energy, HVdc technologies, and power system control and stability. His long-term goal is to develop, implement, and disseminate interventions for achieving a digitized national power grid.

He received a B.Eng. (Hons.) degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Surrey, UK, in 2012, and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Cardiff University, UK, in 2017. He worked as a Researcher at the Energy Safety Research Institute, Swansea between 2017 and 2019. Since 2017, he has been a visiting researcher at the Institute of Energy, Cardiff University, UK.
